Our story begins before even the inception of Guaranty Self Storage with what was then a little-known company named Chick-fil-A. Our owner Bill went to work for Chick-fil-A in 1979. Bill learned a lot from Truett Cathy, the founder of Chick-fil-A and Bill’s good friend, about how to run a business and how to treat customers and employees. From 100 stores then, to over 2300 stores now, the values that Truett believed in have shaped Chick-fil-A into one of the largest family-owned businesses in America, and those values and principles are guiding Guaranty Self Storage as we grow.
In 1997, we opened our first location in Chantilly, Virginia as Guardian Self Storage. We opened our second (Ashburn) and third (Leesburg) locations in 1999 and 2001. Using those same lessons learned and guiding principles, we’ve successfully established a positive, respectful, and honest company that our customers and employees trust in.
In the late 2000s, we believed our name and reputation should stand behind our core ideologies:
Honesty, Attitude, Dependability, Initiative, Respect, Loyalty, Integrity, Commitment.
And thus, Guaranty Self Storage was born. Since then we have opened 3 new facilities: Stone Ridge, Winchester, and Woodbridge throughout Northern Virginia.
We continually adapt and critique our practices to better assists our Guests. Serving both residential and commercial tenants, we tailor our services specifically towards their needs and strive every day to create the best possible customer experience for all. We actively work with charities and emergency personnel to better serve our local communities.
